This is the poster & trailer for the new movie WINGED CREATURES which stars my girl, Academy Award winner, Jennifer Hudson. She plays Kathy Archenault, the daughter of Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker, who plays Charlie Archenault.
SYNOPSIS: When a moment of random violence erupts in an ordinary Los Angeles diner the survivors (Kate Beckinsale, Dakota Fanning, Guy Pearce, Forest Whitaker, Josh Hutcherson) find that the meanings of their lives have changed.
No matter how much their families and friends (JENNIFER HUDSON, Jackie Earle Haley, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Embeth Davidtz) attempt to understand, these individuals must follow their own paths to recovery seeking to regain trust in a world that now seems chaotic.
A story of tragedy and hope for our times, Winged Creatures, is a powerful ensemble drama that explores the notion that our lives are fleeting, like birds in flight, like winged creatures.
So yeah, this movie seems to be a lot like Crash, so in the same sentence, i can see a lot of potential Oscar buzz surrounding this film. This, despite belief, was Jennifer's FIRST post-Oscar role. I'm glad she was smart to pick this type of dramatic film because I think she needed to show people that she can, in fact, act. We shall see cuz this little clip doesn't say much. It doesn't have an official release date, yet, but when it does you KNOW imma hook it up! :-D
