The New Olivet Baptist Church in assocation with the Morehouse College Alumni Association: Memphis Chapter invites you to "Up From Here"; the annual Candle On The Bluff Awards Celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
I'm very honored and excited to be performing at this years event. My first big-band performance was at the very first annual award show. I sang the timeless classic "Fly Me To The Moon". After that experience, I was hooked! This year, I'll be back! My brother Kameron, the University of Memphis' Southern Comfort, The New Olivet Choir, and the Morehouse College Glee Club, will also be part of the experience.
Admission is FREE so if you're in the Memphis area on April 3rd, 2009, come by the CANNON Center at 7pm to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. :-)
look-a-here... Here's a FULL clip of one of my performances. This was recorded during a live taping at the 4th Annual: Candle on the Bluff Awards honoring Dr. King.
I was backed by an amazing combination of the Morehouse College and University of Memphis Jazz Bands. My brother, Kameron, is also playing the trombone directly behind me. Awesome!!!! Anykadoodle, here's the song:
All things LOVE, baby!
So yeah, this isn't a blog to be taken seriously, really. Its just kinda of like my "public diary" to my family and friends. You're gonna see a lot of J. Hud & Beyonce, but that's just me. :-D hey, you gotta LOVE me!!!
