CANDLE ON THE BLUFF

The New Olivet Baptist Church in assocation with the Morehouse College Alumni Association: Memphis Chapter invites you to "Up From Here"; the annual Candle On The Bluff Awards Celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr
I'm very honored and excited to be performing at this years event. My first big-band performance was at the very first annual award show.  I sang the timeless classic "Fly Me To The Moon".  After that experience, I was hooked!   This year, I'll be back! My brother Kameron, the University of Memphis' Southern Comfort, The New Olivet Choir, and the Morehouse College Glee Club, will also be part of the experience.

Admission is FREE so if you're in the Memphis area on April 3rd, 2009, come by the CANNON Center at 7pm to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. :-)

HE'S BEEN JUST THAT GOOD

I pride myself on being an optimistic being. All i want to say is that i can feel God doing great things for me and prepping me for greatness beyond my wildest dreams, and i have some pretty wild ones. :-) I can always take comfort in knowing that God's got me in the palm of His hand; He never ceases to amaze me. I can't even put into words how much I appreciate Him, and how grateful I am for placing me at this place of my life at this very moment. My family, my future, and my faith keep me going everyday. In a sea of saddness, loss, confusion, and disarry, I just think of His works and He reminds me why I should smile. I'm holding on to the promise...

I'm so excited, I CAN FEEL HIM WORKING ON THE INSIDE!!! Wow. Let's get 'em!!!

iT HAS BEGUN...

God always knows how to work things out. I'm learning, everyday, how to trust Him more and more. I had my second concert this past Monday night at Kings Bridge, and it was absolutely amazing. Aaron accompanied me as I sang an hours worth of popular classics and jazz standards to a room full of retired senior citizens. It was great singing for a room full of men and women who can appreciate and respect the classic music of both past and present. Here are some photos of the night captured by Joy. :-)

With God on my side, I can do anything. There is so much more to come. Thank You, Lord for the opportunity to once again share Your gift.
