JENNiFER HUDSON LEADS 'iMAGE' NOMS WITH 7

Things seem to be looking up, professionally, for Jennifer Hudson. Jennifer leads the NAACP Image Award nominations with a total of 7 nods in both film and music.

She received nominations for best new recording artist, best female recording artist, best duo (with Fantasia), best music video (“Spotlight”), best song (“Spotlight”), best album (“Jennifer Hudson”) and best supporting actress (“The Secret Life of Bees”). WORK!

Beyonce got five nominations, including best female recording artist, best video for both “If I Were A Boy” and “Single Ladies,” best album for “I Am…Sasha Fierce,” and best supporting actress for “Cadillac Records.”

Best motion picture nominations went to “Cadillac Records,” “The Secret Life of Bees,” “Miracle at St. Anna,” “Seven Pounds” and “Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys."

HALLE BERRY & TYLER PERRY TO HOST NAACP iMAGE AWARDS

Academy Award winner Halle Berry will join actor/producer Tyler Perry in hosting the NAACP Image Awards on February 12.

The NAACP's executive director in Hollywood, Vicangelo Bulluck, pointed out that this year's show date coincides exactly with the 100th Anniversary of the NAACP. "This year's Image Awards is not just a special event, it is an historic occasion, and I hope all Americans will tune in. With Halle and Tyler as our hosts, I know our viewers are going to get a spectacular show," Bulluck said.

Nominations for the annual awards show, which recognizes the artistic achievements of people of color and honors projects and individuals that promote diversity in the arts, will be announced Wednesday, Jan. 7 in Los Angeles. Performers and presenters for the show have yet to be named.

The "40th NAACP Image Awards" will be broadcast live on FOX from Los Angeles' historic Shrine Auditorium on Feb. 12.

MOViE : X-MEN ORiGiNS WOLVERiNE

HELLS yeah! The trailer for the May 1st release of  X-Men Origins series leaked. This movie centers around probably the most popular character in the X-Men franchise, Wolverine. I'm especially excited to see this because during the entire X-Men trilogy, I wondered "When will they introduce Gambit?" Remy LeBeau is the bomb. I love his card tricks. Hott ish!!!! Also, it's also interesting to see how he met Storm.  Look out for "baby Halle" in the clip, as well.
